Who we are
Canalta is a privately owned development and operations
company based out of Drumheller, AB.
What we do
Canalta develops and operates hotels and restaurants throughout Western Canada.
The company as a whole has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years and continues to expand
development into the new millenium. Canalta is taking a two-pronged attack towards growth by both developing
new opportunities in familiar territory, and by exploring new and different opportunities than Canalta has
been traditionally involved in. Canalta has obtained development rights for Super 8 Motels in Alberta,
Saskatchewan, and both northern and southern B.C. Canalta also actively develops Ramada and Best Western
hotel franchises in Western Canada.
Canalta spearheaded the development of A&W's popular "Express" concept and continues to
enjoy success developing A&W in rural areas of Western Canada. Boston Pizza is quickly becoming an important
component of Canalta's continued growth and development, as is Egan's Irish Pub and Ale House.
